The Fab Shop started selling steel, doing repairs and manufacturing steel parts for local customers.
Wanting to expand and have a product
line of our own we began to build and sell Aircraft Towbars. Trying to help our customers solve problems
with moving these aircraft Dwain Swick
with a career in Manufacturing Engineering developed a battery-powered towbarless tug in the 1990's
for moving airplanes. This grew into the
expanded line of BATTERY POWERED TUGS we have today.
Dwain decided to sell the business and retire in 2005. So in January of 2006 Gene Glass took over
ownership and operation of the company.
Gene had been FAA Repair Station Manager for a company in Wichita. Gene started his career in
manufacturing in 1973 and has worked in
Assembly, Tooling, Detail and Assembly Planning, Manufacturing Engineering, Assembly Management
and FAA Repair Station Management.
Dwain has decided to stay with the company and help out. Our other employee's have decades of
experience at design and fabrication.
We will continue to learn and improve in order to help our customers.
